Harrogate

Last weekend I attended an amazing wedding show at the National Railway Museum in York organized by Brides Up North during the event I was lucky enough to grab a quick look around Station Hall where the beautiful royal carriages stand at the platforms like time capsules filled with fine furniture and china.

There is something so romantic about this mode of transport. Vibrant colours, fabrics and paintings from a bygone era, sparkling crystal and heaps of nostalgic charm. the whole lovely day reminded me of a shoot we were involved with last year on board a very special train….

Late last year I was invited to take part in a very exciting photo shoot on board the Northern Belle, sister train to the Venice Simplon Orient Express. For those of you unaware, The Northern Belle now hosts wedding celebrations on board and the shoot was commissioned to showcase the train and what a wonderfully nostalgic, luxurious and romantic venue it is for a wedding with a difference.

The Shoot was organized by Helen Davies of The Wedding Concierge along with the help of talented photographer Cat Hepple  The pair brought together an amazing team to create an inspiring and beautiful story on board the train and the results were simply fantastic….

We used some stunning gowns for this shoot, we wanted to really demonstrate how different looks could work with this unconventional yet beautiful setting.
